GREENVILLE —
A local man was killed Friday morning in a one vehicle accident on FM 2101.
The report from the Texas Department of Public Safety indicated Suede Dillion Driver, 20, of Greenville, was driving a 1996 red Dodge Ram 2500 pickup, which left the west side of the highway, about a half-mile north of FM 2947, shortly before 7 a.m. Friday then crashed into a fence.
“We believe he fell asleep,” explained Trooper Bubba Goodwin. “There’s no skid marks or anything.”
Driver was pronounced dead at the scene at 8 a.m. Friday by Justice of the Peace Hershey Barnett.
Goodwin said Driver was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.
