Filing underway for Greenville ISD board election

GREENVILLE — Filing is under way for the May 11 Greenville Independent School District Board of Trustees election.

Three seats will be on the ballot, including an unexpired term.

Filing began January 30. As of Friday, no one had filed their campaigns.

Places 1 and 6 and an undecided term in Place 4 will be decided.

Current board president Anne Haynes serves in Place 1, while Slack Brown serves in Place 2. Both are eligible to seek reelection.

The unexpired term in Place 4 runs through May 2014.

Candidate packets are available in the Director of Community Services’ Office at 4004 Moulton Street, Room 102. Filing ends on March 1.
