"The Possum" among big concerts at GMA in early 2013

GREENVILLE — The Greenville Municipal Auditorium has an impressive list of shows lined up to start the new year.

Subscription-based concerts as part of the Greenville Entertainment Series features “The Abrams Brothers” on January 14, the “Side Street Strutters” on February 9 and “The Masters of Motown” on Febru-ary 17.

The subscription-based Dallas Symphony Orchestra Series has a concert lined up at the venue on February 9.

The big event during the early part of 2013 is a concert by country music legend George Jones, presented by Greenville Municipal Auditorium and the United Way of Hunt County.

One of the best known and respected names in country music, “The Possum” has racked up scores of hits during a 35-year career and was recently presented with a Lifetime Achievement Award by the Grammys.

Jones is scheduled to appear on Friday, February 23.



Tickets are $45-$65 and are available for purchase through the Greenville Municipal Auditorium web site at www.showtimeatthegma.com.
