Hunt County offices closing early today

GREENVILLE — Hunt County government will be getting an early start to the Thanksgiving holiday, with all county offices, including those at the Hunt County Courthouse, closing by 2 p.m. today.

All State of Texas, Hunt County and City of Greenville government offices will be closed both Thursday and Friday.

IESI will not collect garbage or recycling on Thursday. Commercial garbage service normally collected on Thursday will be collected Friday or Saturday. Recycling that is normally collected on Friday will be collected on Saturday.

The Hunt County Regional Household Hazardous Waste Collection Facility will be open from 8 a.m. until noon Saturday.

Senior Center Resources and Public Transit (formerly the Hunt County Committee on Aging/The Connection Public Transportation Service) will also be closed both Thursday and Friday.

Banks and other financial institutions will be closed Thursday and reopen Friday.

The Herald-Banner business office will be closed Thursday, but will be open for normal business hours Friday.
