GREENVILLE —
An Arkansas man has learned that yes, duffel bags are considered luggage, even when they are filled with more than 200 pounds of marijuana.
The Hunt County District Attorney’s Office has filed suit in district court against Omar Perez of Waldron, Ark., seeking the seizure of almost $700 cash and a 2004 BMW sedan.
According to the suit, a deputy with the Hunt County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on the BMW at the 104 mile marker of eastbound Interstate 30 on February 8, after Perez, 20, was observed following too close to another vehicle.
