GREENVILLE —
A local man remains in custody, charged with multiple counts in connection with a reported home invasion armed robbery Saturday afternoon in Greenville.
Damontreous Veuntay Williams, 28, of Greenville was being held at the Hunt County Jail as of Monday evening, charged with one count each of aggravated robbery, burglary of a habitation with intent to commit other felony, unauthorized use of a vehicle and assault causing bodily injury. Bond amounts were not immediately available.
Williams was arrested at around 12:30 p.m. Saturday and was alleged to have forced his way into a home, to have held a gun to the head of a female victim while in the course of committing a theft and to have stolen the victim’s vehicle. Williams also had an outstanding warrant on the assault causing bodily injury charge.
