GREENVILLE —
Faced with the costs of paying for three pending death penalty capital murder cases, officials in Hunt County may be looking to join counties in the western side of the state which have banded together to form a public defender’s office.
The Hunt County Commissioners Court is scheduled to hear this week from the West Texas Regional Public Defender’s Capital Defense Program. A vote to potentially participate in the program is included under the agenda for Tuesday’s regular meeting, starting at 10 a.m. in the Auxiliary Courtroom, 2700 Johnson Street in Greenville.
