Stormy Saturday night, Sunday morning seen

GREENVILLE — It has been fall for a couple of weeks now, but it feels more like a Texas spring outside.

And it appears Hunt County may experience some spring-like storms this weekend.

The National Weather Service forecast is calling for partly sunny skies, with a high near 86 this afternoon and winds out of the south with gusts as high as 20 mph.

It is expected to be mostly cloudy, with a low around 66 tonight and mostly cloudy, with a high near 83 Satuday. Winds out of the south could gust as high as 30 mph tomorrow afternoon.

Showers and thunderstorms are forecast to be likely Saturday night into Sunday, mainly after 1a.m. Sunday, with large hail and damaging downburst winds expected to be the main threats.
