Almost time to hunt for some eggs

GREENVILLE — It won’t be long before the Easter Bunny leaves thousands of eggs scattered across a local park.

The annual Eggstravaganza Easter Egg Hunt, sponsored by the City of Greenville, is scheduled for the morning of March 30 on the softball fields at the Greenville SportsPark, at the corner of Sayle Street and Kari Lane/Leo Hackney Boulevard.

There will be more than 15,000 Easter eggs for children ages 11 and under. Egg hunting bags will be supplied by the Hunt Regional Medical Center.

The event begins at 9 a.m. with free spring pictures by Walgreens and children can meet with the Easter Bunny.

There will be four separate hunts; one at 10 a.m. for children up to 3 years old; and three more starting at 10:15 a.m., each on a different field, for children 4 and 5 years old, for children ages 6 to 8 years old and for children 9 to 11 years old.
