The front has arrived! Cooler weather, rain still expected tonight

GREENVILLE — From the National Weather Service:

ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS ARE POSSIBLE THIS AFTERNOON...ALONG AND NORTHEAST OF A GAINESVILLE TO EMORY LINE. ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS ARE POSSIBLE TONIGHT ACROSS ALMOST ALL OF NORTH TEXAS. CLOUD TO GROUND LIGHTNING WILL BE THE PRIMARY HAZARD FROM THESE STORMS.

After a high of 86 degrees today, the winds have shifted out of the north and the temperatures have started to drop. There is a 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 7 p.m. with wind gusts as high as 20 mph and a low of 47 degrees tonight.

There is a 40 percent chance of rain in the forecast tomorrow, with a high of 55 degrees.
