Mini trash pick-up scheduled Saturday

GREENVILLE — This past week’s rains and high winds have helped scatter litter and debris across Greenville, and officials with Keep Greenville Beautiful believe it is never too early to get started on some spring cleaning.

With that in mind, the organization has scheduled a mini trash pick-up event, starting at 9 a.m. Saturday. Volunteers are being asked to meet at the Greenville Chamber of Commerce office, 2713 Stonewall Street, to pick up supplies and receive trash pick-up assignments.

The mini trash pick-up is also a preview of Keep Greenville Beautiful’s expected participation in the 2013 Don’t Mess with Texas Trash-Off, scheduled for April 6.

Those wanting additional information can contact Keep Greenville Beautiful at 903-422-0495 or keepgreenvillebeautiful@hotmail.com.
