Authorities arrest 19 during the weekend

GREENVILLE — Officers with the Greenville Police Department were dispatched to 208 calls between Friday morning and Sunday night, took 10 people into custody and filed 36 reports.

The arrests included three people for theft, two people on outstanding warrants and one person each for driving while license suspended/invalid; driving while intoxicated; evading arrest, resisting arrest, possession of marijuana and outstanding warrant; assault causing bodily injury and evading arrest; and assault causing bodily injury/family violence.

Deputies with the Hunt County Sheriff’s Office responded to 82 calls, took nine people into custody and filed 22 reports.

The arrests included four people for outstanding warrants and one person each for traffic violation, possession of dangerous drug, driving while intoxicated, aggravated assault and deadly conduct.

— Christopher Stephen Martin, 30, Greenville, entered a plea of guilty to a charge of possession of a controlled substance and was sentenced to one year in a state jail.

— Dwayne Michael Fields, 26, Eureka, Calif., entered a plea of guilty to a charge of possession of marijuana and was sentenced to 12 months in a state jail.
