QUINLAN —
A memorial service is scheduled this weekend for Rebecca Hernandez Wingo, one of the 12 people killed in last month’s mass shooting at a movie theater in Aurora, Colo.
The ceremony is scheduled for 6 p.m. Saturday at Ford High School, 10064 Business Highway 34 South in Quinlan. Wingo, then Rebecca “Becky” Hernandez, graduated from the high school in 1997.
A dozen people were killed and 59 others were reported to have been injured early on the morning of July 20 by a gunman who opened fire in the theater where the victims had gathered to watch the newest Batman film. Wingo was one of the fatalities.
