GREENVILLE —
The Phoenix Charter School in Greenville is looking for a new executive director, after Vickie Glasscock unexpectedly resigned last week.
The school’s board of directors were scheduled to meet in an executive session during an emergency meeting Monday evening, to accept Glasscock’s resignation and appoint an interim executive director.
The notice of the meeting, which was posted about one hour before the meeting’s scheduled start time, indicated that Glasscock informed the board president Friday night that she was resigning her position.
“This resignation was without notice and not reasonably foreseeable,” said the notice of the agenda, adding that appointing was “immediately necessary.”
