GREENVILLE — The Greenville Police Department released the following statement this morning, concerning the late Sunday night incident on the Wesley Street overpass across Interstate 30:
At approximately 10:41 p.m. on Sunday, January 20, 2013, the Greenville Police Department responded to a call of a female subject who was threatening to jump off of the east bound overpass at Interstate 30 and Wesley Street. All lanes of traffic were shut down on both Interstate 30 and Wesley Street during the incident.
The individual was taken into protective custody a short time later at 11:04 p.m. and transported to a facility in Dallas for evaluation.
