GREENVILLE —
The Greenville Chamber will be “Puttin’ on the Ritz” Saturday, during the Annual Auction for Teacher Grants.
The event, sponsored by Texas Farm Bureau Insurance, also offers shoppers a chance to make a bid on some unique items.
The auction is scheduled for 5 p.m. Saturday at the Fletcher Warren Civic Center. Those attending will be able to enjoy a sit down dinner with celebrity waiters and will have a chance to bid on dozens of items.
There are tools, sports memorabilia and tickets, artwork, and passes to SeaWorld, Fiesta Texas and the State Fair of Texas. There are escapes to Eureka Springs, the Choctaw Casino and Resort, Medieval Times and the Mountain Harbor Resort.
The adventurous can bid on a hot air balloon rides or a chance to ride with the Hunt County Sheriff’s Posse. And for those who may be planning ahead to an even more special occasion, a chance to bid on a wedding gown, tuxedo and two bride maids dresses.
