Very high fire danger again today

GREENVILLE — The Texas Forest Service has listed Hunt County under "very high" fire danger conditions again today, due to the continued drought, triple-digit high temperatures and winds expected to gust out of the south/southwest at up to 20 miles per hour.

As of this morning, Hunt County was not under a ban on outdoor burning, but one could be called for as early as this afternoon. Fire officials are urging anyone planning to do a controlled burn to use EXTREME caution.

Collin, Kaufman and Rockwall counties are currently under burn bans.
