A hearing has been scheduled this afternoon to decide who will get custody of more than 100 animals seized one week ago from a property in far south Hunt County.
The owner of the property allegedly was raising the animals in order to sell them at North Texas flea markets.
The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) of Texas has claimed the birds, rabbits, cats and dogs were being kept in inhumane conditions in the same location where the organization seized 249 reportedly neglected animals last month.
