County leaders to head south

Next month, a significant contingent of Hunt County government and business leaders plans to head to Austin, to meet with members of the 83rd regular session of the Texas Legislature.

The Greenville Chamber of Commerce Convention and Visitors Bureau is organizing the next Hunt County Days trip on March 27-28.

Those attending Hunt County Days will have a chance to visit the capitol building in Austin, while meeting with state government officials, legislators and agency leaders.

During 2012, the Chamber’s Hunt County Government Council met with the chambers and interested residents of Commerce, West Tawakoni, Wolfe City and Caddo Mills, to share information and gather thoughts from those present.

The tentative itinerary for the trip calls for meetings with representatives from various commissions and agencies, a reception to which all Texas Representatives and Senators have been invited, and a breakfast with State Senator Bob Deuell and State Representative Dan Flynn.

Additional details about the Hunt County Days event are available at 903-455-1510 or through the Chamber’s web site at www.greenvillechamber.com.
