Council to vote on Task Force report

GREENVILLE — The Greenville City Council is scheduled to vote Tuesday to adopt recommendations from the Residential Inspection Program Task Force.

While the panel did not recommend the implementation of mandatory inspections of owner occupied housing, at least not at this time, it did advise the Council to take some immediate steps in order to maintain and improve the city’s housing stock.

A vote on the recommendations is included under Tuesday’s regular session agenda, starting at 6 p.m. in the Municipal Building, 2821 Washington Street. A work session is also set for 5 p.m. Tuesday.
