The Hunt County Commissioners Court intends Tuesday to consider renewing the ban on outdoor burning, currently in place for the county.
A vote to extend the ban for up to 90 days is included as part of the agenda for Tuesday’s regular session, starting at 10 a.m. in the Auxiliary Courtroom, 2700 Johnson Street in Greenville.
An emergency burn ban was enacted August 7 for Hunt County, due to rising drought levels.
Hunt County’s fire departments responded to multiple calls Saturday, including a four alarm blaze involving grass, brush and hay bales in the vicinity of County Road 3505 and State Highway 34.
