Unattended death reported in Commerce

GREENVILLE — Statement issued a short time ago from the Commerce Police Department:

 

On Friday, November 09, 2012 at 1:09 p.m. Commerce Police Officers were dispatched to the 3000 block of Monroe Street on a call of a deceased person.



Officers arrived at the location and determined that a Hispanic male had passed. Investigators and Texas Rangers are conducting a preliminary investigation. Justice of the Peace Reeves was called out to the scene and has pronounced the man.  The body will be sent out for an autopsy to The Southwest Institute of Forensic Science in Dallas to determine cause of death.
