Rain possible for the weekend

GREENVILLE — Hunt County and North Texas could be in line for some much needed rain this weekend.

A slight (20 percent) chance of showers and/or thunderstorms is in the National Weather Service forecast for this afternoon. Starting early tomorrow morning, through Saturday afternoon/evening the thunderstorm chances increase to 40 percent, with wind gusts out of the south/southeast at up to 20 miles per hour.

There is a 30 percent chance of showers and storms after 1 a.m. Sundayy and then a slight chance in the forecast through Monday night.

Areas of Hunt County were still listed under severe drougnt conditions as of this morning and Hunt County remains under a ban on outdoor burning.
