GREENVILLE — Hunt County Fire Marshal Richard Hill announced that a ban on outdoor burning is in effect immediately for Hunt County, due to severe drought conditions.
The emergency ordered signed Tuesday by Hunt County Judge John Horn will be in place until the next regular session of the Hunt County Commissioners Court, at which time the court will decide whether to extend the ban for up to 90 days.

Director of Public Works Massoud Ebrahim was appointed Monday as the interim city manager for the City of Greenville.
