At least some portions of Hunt County received rain Monday afternoon.
The city of Wolfe City and the surrounding area also reported receiving damage from a line of severe thunderstorms.
And Hunt County recorded its ninth straight day of triple digit heat Monday.
With much of the county being listed under severe drought conditions, the arrival of any precipitation would have been welcomed, but not if it was accompanied by high winds and frequent lightning.
