GREENVILLE —
A Quinlan woman has pleaded not guilty to a charge of deadly conduct, in connection with an alleged shooting in Hunt County in May.
Amber Rene Finstad, 26, was arraigned Monday during a hearing in the 354th District Court to an indictment with one count of deadly conduct by discharging a firearm. Judge Richard A. Beacom accepted the plea and scheduled a tentative trial date for February 25, 2013.
According to the indictment, Finstad fired “at or in the direction of” a male victim on May 9, 2012. Finstad was arrested the same day by the Hunt County Sheriff’s Office.
Deadly conduct is a third degree felony, punishable upon conviction by a maximum sentence of from two to 10 years in prison and an optional fine of up to $10,000.
