Slight chance of some rain this afternoon, evening

GREENVILLE — From the National Weather Service:

An upper disturbance has allowed a non-severe storm complex to develop across the western Red River Valley, with scattered activity developing across South Plains near Abilene this afternoon. Areas north of a Comanche...Dallas...Canton line may see rainfall between 1/10 and 1/3 of an inch through sunset with gusty winds to 40 mph and occasional lightning as the afternoon wears on. Better rain chances arrive late Friday and into the weekend.
