GREENVILLE —
This year’s Kiwanis Children’s Charity Auction is taking place for one night only.
The 61st annual auction is scheduled for between 6 and 9 p.m. tonight, taking place live from the GEUS Customer Service Facility, 2810 Wesley Street in Greenville. Shoppers are invited to participate in the auction by watching on GEUS Channel 34 and calling in their bids to 903-457-2819, from inside the GEUS facility, or through the live broadcast of the event on KGVL 1400 AM.
There are almost 70 items featured for sale to the highest bidder during the night, all donated by local individuals and businesses. There are also 25 silent auction items up for bid as well as several “Big Board” items available for purchase.

With a motto of “Young Children Are Priority One”, all of the funds raised by the Kiwanis auction go toward providing assistance to an assortment of local agencies and programs which help the youth of the community, including scholarships for local high school students.
Clothe a Child, Special Olympics, HUnt County Shared Ministries (FISH), Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA), Women In Need annd Tools for School are among the organizations which benefit from funds raised during each year’s auctions.
