City of Greenville looking for a new plan(ner)

GREENVILLE — The City of Greenville is starting the search for a new City Planner, after it was announced Tuesday afternoon that Lance Estep has resigned to take a position in Rockwall.

From the City of Greenville:

City of Greenville Planner Lance Estep has submitted his resignation effective November 2, 2012. Estep has accepted the Planning Manager position with the City of Rockwall.

 

Estep, who holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Geography and Economics and a Master’s Degree in Public Administration, joined the City of Greenville in August, 2009.

 

Estep said, “I have enjoyed my time here and it has been a pleasure serving the City Council, City Staff and the Citizens of Greenville.”

 

City Manager Steven Alexander stated, “Lance is an asset to the organization and has provided Greenville with much needed guidance in the area of municipal planning. His knowledge and experience will be missed.”

 

The search for a new City Planner will soon be underway.
