Kiwanis Auction Thursday

GREENVILLE — All of the bidding during this year’s Kiwanis Children’s Charity Auction is taking place on one night only.

The 61st annual auction is scheduled for between 6 and 9 p.m. Thursday, taking place live from the GEUS Customer Service Facility, 2810 Wesley Street in Greenville. Shoppers are invited to participate in the auction by watching on GEUS Channel 34 and calling in their bids to 903-457-2819, from inside the GEUS facility, or through the live broadcast of the event on KGVL 1400 AM.

There is expected to be more than 100 items featured for sale to the highest bidder during the night, all donated by local individuals and businesses.

Lists of the items up for bid will be included this week in the Herald-Banner. There will also be several “Big Board” items available for purchase.

With a motto of “Young Children Are Priority One”, all of the funds raised by the Kiwanis auction go toward providing assistance to an assortment of local agencies and programs which help the youth of the community, including scholarships for local high school students.
