Four new bridges being built

GREENVILLE — New bridges are to be built along four county roads, which cross creeks in Hunt County, starting this week.

The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) is working with the Hunt County Commissioners Court on the project to replace the existing county road bridges and approaches.

Bridges to be replaced include County Road 4720 across Turkey Creek, County Road 3201 across Caney Creek, County Road 3202 at the Turkey Creek Tributary, and County Road 3116 at the Caney Creek Tributary.

East Texas Bridge of Longview is the contractor on the estimated $611,000, 77-day project.

Work on the project is scheduled to begin Monday and expected to be completed in January.
