GREENVILLE —
It may not reach the triple digits during the next few days, but anyone who has lived in Texas realizes there is still a lot of heat to come this summer.
Hunt County Shared Ministries (FISH) is wanting to help some area residents keep their cool, by offering customers of TXU free air conditioners, as well as energy efficient light bulbs and energy efficiency kits.
FISH Executive Director Wally Jeffers is surprised that more people have not applied for the assistance, given how hot it has been this year.
“I just don’t feel like we’ve had enough families taking advantage of this program,” Jeffers said.
