GREENVILLE —
Senior A.J. Uland was the only Greenville Christian School Eagle to earn first-team honors on the TAPPS All-District 2-2A baseball team.
Uland made the first team at pitcher.
Senior shortstop Mason Rook represented GCS on the second team. Rook was also named to the sportsmanship team.
Freshman center fielder Michael Lutz and sophomore pitcher Nathan Weaks of GCS made the honorable mention list.
Colton Jones of Rockwall Christian captured offensive player of the year honors.
The defensive player of the year award went to Cade Suggs from East Texas Christian.
Robert Rodriguez and Austin Dean from Rockwall Christian shared freshman of the year honors.
Dallas Lakehill’s Phillip Macurak claimed newcomer of the year honors.
Rockwall Christian’s Caleb Palmer captured the coach of the year award.

Greenville Christian School’s Lady Eagles put three players on the first team and three on the second team of the Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools All-District 2-2A softball team.
Junior shortstop Hannah Wilhelm, junior catcher Katy Felder and sophomore third baseman Kenzie Wombaker of GCS made the first team.
GCS senior second baseman Rachel Mayfield, junior center fielder Meagan Nichols and senior pitcher Jenny Schumann were selected to the second team.
GCS freshman second baseman Meaghan Brown made the honorable mention list.
Rockwall Heritage and Waco Vanguard shared the top honors.
Heritage’s Jenna Geyman earned the most valuable player award.
The newcomer of the year award went to Savannah Taylor of Waco Vanguard and Chandler Smith from Waco Vanguard claimed the freshman of the year honor.
Coach of the year honors went to Rick Trapane of Rockwall Heritage and Will Curtis from Waco Vanguard.
