Crow named new football coach at Quinlan Ford

QUINLAN — Virgil Crow, who has 27 years experience in education and coaching, has been named as the new boys athletic director and head football coach for the Quinlan Ford Panthers.

Crow has nearly two decades of experience as a head coach or coordinator and has coached at nearby Northeast Texas schools including Celina, Scurry-Rosser, Sulphur Springs and Cumby.

“I look forward to becoming a part of the Quinlan school community and helping make the athletic program a support to the total education of our student athletes,” said Crow. “Go Panther!”

Crow is married to Shelly and has two sons, Tyler and Kyle.

Derek Alford previous served as head football coach of the Panthers, guiding them to a 4-7 season record that included a 35-14 victory over Van in the bi-district round of the playoffs.
