GREENVILLE — Buttermilk Apple Cobbler – Rita Haldeman
3 lbs of your favorite Apples
1/3 cup of packed Brown Sugar
1 T Flour
1 T Lemon Juice
1 tsp Cinnamon
¼ tsp Nutmeg
¼ tsp Mace
Combine all ingredients in a large bowl. Coat apples.
Pour into an 8” x 8” baking pan. See Biscuit Topping Below for next steps.
Drop Biscuit topping by the tablespoonfuls onto the apple mixture.
Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes until golden.
Biscuit Topping:
1 cup Flour
A T Baking Powder
3 T Buttermilk
2 T Sugar
½ cup Butter
¾ cup Milk
Mix flour, baking powder, buttermilk and sugar. Add butter with a fork until mixture is crumbly. Add milk and mix well.
