Authorities arrest 10

GREENVILLE — Officers with the Greenville Police Department were dispatched to 93 calls Tuesday, took four people into custody and filed 15 reports.

The arrests included three people for outstanding warrants and one person for possession of dangerous drug.

Deputies with the Hunt County Sheriff’s Office responded to 39 calls, took seven people into custody and filed 17 reports.

The arrests included two people for assault causing bodily injury/family violence and one person each for evading arrest, injury to a child, manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance, outstanding warrant and prohibited weapon.

— Martin Cooper Jr., 21, Washington Park, Ill., entered a plea of guilty to a charge of possession of marijuana and was sentenced to three years in prison with a $1,000 fine.

— Joe Thomas Davis, 70, Wolfe City, entered a plea of guilty to a charge of injury to a child and was placed on 10 years of deferred adjudication probation with 180 days in jail.

— James Wesley Bryan, 42, Lone Oak, entered a plea of guilty to a charge of possession of a controlled substance and was sentenced to 10 months in jail with a $500 fine.
