Armed robbery reported in Lone Oak
An armed robbery was reported in Lone Oak overnight, during which an elderly man was injured.
The Greenville Police Department also made an arrest of a robbery suspect Thursday.
The Hunt County Sheriff’s Office received the report of an aggravated robbery at a residence on Morning Star, occurring at approximately 9:30 p.m. Thursday. A firearm was used in the robbery and a 75-year-old man who lived at the residence was reported to have received minor injuries during the incident.
Two assaults were reported to have occurred at a residence on Waco Bay Loop between 5:30 and 5:57 p.m. Wednesday.
An air conditioning unit was reported stolen from a residence on Kitsee Knoll Way between 8 a.m. July 26 and 10:30 a.m. Wednesday.
An air conditioning unit was reported stolen Thursday from a residence on Kasey Lynn between 4 a.m. Aug. 16 and 2:25 p.m. Wednesday.
The possession of a stolen firearm was reported to have occurred at the intersection of Interstate 30 and FM 1570 at 1:02 a.m. Wednesday.
One person was taken into custody on Highway 276 at 11:40 p.m. Wednesday on a charge of possession of a controlled substance.
Officers with the Greenville Police Department were dispatched to 82 calls Thursday, while taking eight people into custody and filing 21 reports. In addition to making one arrest on a charge of murder, officers arrested a 29-year-old woman, address unknown, at around 1:30 p.m. Thursday on a charge of robbery. A 29-year-old male from Greenville was arrested at around 5 p.m. Thursday on a charge of assault causing bodily injury/family violence. Three people were arrested on outstanding warrants and one person each was arrested for theft and failure to identify as a fugitive from justice.

— James Edward Malone entered a plea of guilty to a charge of driving while intoxicated and was placed on 18 months of probation with a $750 fine.
— Maurice Franklin Goudeau, had probation on a charge of driving while intoxicated revoked and was sentenced to 120 days in jail.
