GREENVILLE — Ellory J. “Rusty” Wilcox, 82, of Greenville passed away Dec. 16, 2012, at Hunt Regional Medical Center.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Highland Terrace Baptist Church, with Rev. Royce Litchfield and Rev. Larry Jordan officiating.

Interment will follow at Memoryland Memorial Park.

Born April 23, 1930, in Dundee, N.Y., “Rusty” was the son of Burton and Sophronia Bump Wilcox. On Sept. 3, 1950, in San Antonio, he married Ruby Nell Moore of Saltillo. He served in the United States Air Force from 1948 to 1968 in San Antonio, Myrtle Beach, Panama Canal Zone, and Colorado Springs.

He retired as a master sergeant. Then, he worked for E-Systems as a system analyst for 10 years before retiring from there. He was a member of Highland Terrace Baptist Church.

His survivors include his wife, Nell Wilcox of Greenville; son, Danny Ray Wilcox and wife, Marquetta, of Arlington; daughters, Teresa Morris of Cedar Hill and Debra Horn and husband, Paul, of Desoto; grandchildren, Kelly, John, Andrea, Jonathan, Michea, and Collin; two great-grandchildren; brother, Dean Wilcox of Florida; many nieces and nephews; and many friends at Highland Terrace Baptist Church.

Pallbearers will be Amos Lowry, Marc Milton, Chuck Foti, Elbert Turner and Jerry Bench. Bill Miller and Neel Dearing will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Arrangements are under the direction of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home.
