‘Bill’ Barnett

GREENVILLE — William B. “Bill” Barnett, 85, of Campbell passed away Nov. 20, 2012, at Hunt Regional Medical Center. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the First Baptist Church of Campbell with Rev. Danny Buster and Rev. Cary Kinnaird officiating. Interment will follow at Brigham Cemetery.

Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Friday until service time at the church.  Coker-Mathews Funeral Home of Greenville is in charge of arrangements.

Born Oct. 16, 1927, in Greenville, Bill was the son of Coe J. and Bess (Robertson) Barnett. On March 20, 1959, in Campbell, he married Muriel Kathleen (Spears) Barnett. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict and worked as a farmer and rancher. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Campbell.

His survivors include several nieces, nephews and cousins; dear friends Ray and Karla Burke and Barry and Lisa Buchanan; and his church family at First Baptist Church in Campbell.  

He was preceded in death by his wife on Dec. 18, 2011; his parents; brother Robert Hal Barnett and sister Jo Nell Malone.

Pallbearers will be Edd Stuart, Ray Tarrant, Dennis Dawson, Al Dyer, Lee Greninger, and Keith Tarrant.
