GREENVILLE —
Larry Willard Tate Sr., 68, of Greenville passed away Nov. 18, 2012.
He was born in Greenville to Joe and Velma Tate on March 16, 1944. Larry retired as a truck driver, but his first love was farming, which he learned from early childhood from his father whom he adored.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra; children Sherry and Robby Bowers of Quinlan, Larry Edward Tate of Las Vegas, Nev., Judy Dickeson of Greenville, Larry W. Tate Jr. and Crystal of Carthage, Cheryl and Rick Grigsby of Estes Park, Colo., Lori and Eddy Holloway of Greenville and Kristi Melton of Sulphur Springs; one sister, JoAnn and husband Billy Coleman of Farmersville; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
There will be a memorial service at Lynch Funeral Service in Greenville at 10 a.m. Wednesday.
