A memorial service for Tanya Lynne Gilliam-Griffin, 57, of Brashear will be at noon, Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2013, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints with Pres. Jeff Smith officiating.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 11, 2013, at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home, which is in charge of arrangements.
Tanya Lynne Gilliam-Griffin passed early Friday, Feb. 8, 2013, at Hopkins County Memorial Hospital. She was born on June 21, 1955 in Casablanca, French Morocco; the daughter of Charles Milton and Jerry Layne White Gilliam.
She married E.F. “Rick” Griffin in Reno, Nev. on Dec. 14, 1978. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Survivors include husband, E.F. “Rick” Griffin of Brashear; three sons, Frank Griffin of Pennsylvania, Ben Griffin of Point, and Zach Griffin of Point; two daughters, Layne Griffin-Nyberg and husband, Michael, of Arizona, and Rashon Griffin-Barrett and husband, Cameron of Brashear; brother, Charles Michael Gilliam and wife Diane of Virginia; and 21 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and step father, William Hill.
