Darryl Tyson Sr. was born to the parentage of Hardit Eugene Taylor and Mary Jane Taylor on Jan. 3, 1965, in Dallas. He was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He graduated from L.G. Pinkston High School in Dallas. He was joined in marriage to Glenda Stanton on Dec. 18, 2004.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Catherine Taylor; and one son, Jamel Stanton.
Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Glenda Stanton; four sons, Darryl Tyson, Jr. (Mayo), Raymond Payton, Marcus Lacey and Antron Williams; three daughters, Chante Hawkins, Triesha Tyson and Lashundra Stanton; one sister, Barbara Taylor; one brother, Reginald Taylor; two special friends, Comesia Jones and Juan McFarland; and a host of grandkids, nieces, nephews and cousins.
His funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Love and Faith Fellowship Church. Burial will be in Grundy Memorial Park.
Visitation is from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. today at Grace & Mercy-Grundy Funeral Home.
