DOLLIE HALL

GREENVILLE — Funeral services for Mrs. Dollie Rae Burden Hall, 75-year-old Celeste resident, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday at the First Baptist Church of Celeste. Dr. Kenneth Hall and Dr. James Ralson will officiate. Burial will be in the Celeste/Hogeye Cemetery.

Family visitation is from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Chapel at Leonard.

Mrs. Hall was born Oct. 3, 1937, at Whitewright, daughter of Clarence and Bonnie Mae Hopper Burden. She was a graduate of Trenton High School and a member of the Hickory Creek Baptist Church. She married Ray Hall June 30, 1956, at Durant, Okla. She was very involved with her family and her church.

She passed away Feb. 3, 2013, at the Hunt Regional Medical Center of Greenville.

She is survived by her husband of 56-plus years, Ray Hall of Celeste; her daughters and sons-in-law, Bonnie and Mike Pickerill of Wolfe City and Ruth and Ivan Worthington of Celeste; her sons and daughters-in-law, Charles and Paula Hall of Kingston and Kenneth and Jana Hall of Crawford; her eight grandchildren, Chad Pickerill, Lucas Miles, Joshua Miller, Jennifer Miller, Lindsay Richardson, Allie Miles, Hogan Hall and Huston Hall; her five great-grandchildren; her brothers and sisters and their mates, Alma and Alvie Boles of Byers, Okla., Julia Shaw of Honey Grove, Mary and Jimmy Jernigan of Goldthwaite, Martha and Blanton Hancock of Leonard, Bobby Burden of North Little Rock, Ark., and James and Linda Burden of Leonard; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Bonnie Burden; brothers  C.B. Burden and William Burden; a sister, Paula Johnson; and a grandson, Bryan Hall.

Memorial gifts may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
