GREENVILLE —
Raymond R. Cline, 91, of Merit passed away Jan. 9, 2013, at Briarcliff Health Center. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in the Coker-Mathews Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Jerry Jeffcoat officiating. Interment will follow at Merit Cemetery.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Born Dec. 1, 1921, in Dallas, Raymond was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Roland Cline. He married Helen W. Lichtenwald; she preceded him in death. Mr. Cline served in the United States Army Air Corps and was a retired Dallas police officer.
His survivors include his daughters, Karen Baker and husband Jerry of Wagner and Elaine Childress and husband Paul of Merit; grandchildren Jacob Childress of McKinney, Ethan Childress of Merit, Brad Baker of Farmersville, and Becky Jeffcoat and husband Jarrod of Princeton; great-grandchild Kennedy Jeffcoat; and brother James Cline of Humble.
Pallbearers will be Jacob Childress, Ethan Childress, Jarrod Jeffcoat, and Brad Baker.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by two brothers and special aunt and uncle Anna and Herman Mayer.
