Lucille Holley

— Lucile Holley, 99, of Commerce passed away Jan. 1, 2013, in Greenville.

Lucile was born Oct. 8, 1913, in Hopkins County to Hugh Nicewarner and Della Moore. She worked for Dr. Smith, a local dentist, for 30 years; and she also ran the lunchroom at Branom School.

She was preceded in death by husband Clyde, sister Delma, brother Willard Don and sister Edith. 

She is survived by son David and wife Mary Helen, Earnest (Skip), Valton and wife Marsha. She is also survived by granddaughters Brandi and Angela, granddaughter Amy and husband Steve Hennessee and great-grandaughters Maggy and Valerie, as well as niece Dora Alverson, great-niece Donna and husband Kevin Fox, AvoLee Reed and four sons, niece Sue Bartlet and son Paul, niece Gayle Watson and nephew Johnny Denbow and wife Paula.

Special thanks to caregivers Dora Alverson, Yvonne, Nita Herman and Rev. Roy Lee Dittmar.

Funeral services are at 11 a.m. today in the  Jones-Walker and Son Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Roy Lee Dittmar officiating.

Visitation will be conducted one hour prior to the funeral services. Interment follows at Mount Zion Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Rod Herman, Benney Herman, Joe Pucek, Steve Holley, Steve Hennessee and Kevin Fox.
