Kevin Allen Pannell was born Jan. 24, 1962, to the parentage of Bobby and Quincy Pannell in Commerce.
He attended Commerce public schools and was a 1980 gradaute. In 1983, Kevin graduated from East Texas State University. He was employed by RJ Reynolds Tobacco Company for 20-plus years until his health begin to fail.
He departed this life Dec. 10, 2012.
Leaving to cherish his memories are a daughter, Devyn Pannell of Mesquite; a sister, Vivian Harrison of Mesquite; a brother, Todd Pannell of Oklahoma City, Okla.; niece Ashley Anderson and nephew Chad Anderson, both of Mesquite; and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Chester Pannell and Berry Pannell, and two aunts, Frances Pitts and Leslie Hayes.
Kevin’s homegoing service will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Mount Moriah Baptist Church in Commerce with Rev. Larry Dixon officiating.
Visitation is today from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Grace & Mercy-Grundy Funeral Home in Greenville.
