GREENVILLE —
Donnie C. Rhoden was born Dec. 22, 1953, in Greenville to Walter and Mary E. Rhoden.
He was a member of the Mount Zion Baptist Church, where he remained a faithful member until his health failed.
He received his education in Greenville. He also attended and received marketable trades at North Texas Job Corps in McKinney. He was employed with the Commerce Police Department.
He leaves to cherish his sweet memories two sisters, Laura Fletcher of Greenville and Mary Walford (Kurly) of Dallas; two brothers, Bruce Rhoden of Dallas and Ricky Rhoden (Tonya) of Atlanta, Ga; two special nephews he raised on his own, Billy Fletcher and Justin Rhoden of Greenville; two grandnephews, Tamarli Fletcher and Darnydren Fletcher of Greenville; one grandniece, Ta’Narah Fletcher of Greenville, many other nieces, nephews and cousins; and a special companion, Ehelene Dennis.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and one sister.
Services are at 1 p.m. Saturday at Full Gospel Holy Temple with Elder Ralph Sanders officiating.
Visitiation is from 1 to 6 p.m. today at Grace & Mercy Funeral Home, which is in charge of arrangements.
