A memorial service for Bobby “Jody” Emmons, 65, of Cumby will be conducted at Cornerstone Baptist Church in Cumby at 11 a.m. Wednesday with Rev. Jim Moore officiating.
Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home of Sulphur Springs is in charge of arrangements.
Bobby “Jody” Emmons passed away at Hunt Regional Health Care the morning of Nov. 16, 2012.
He was born in Grand Prairie Nov. 14, 1947, the son of Brady Jasper Emmons and Margie Alice Garrett. He married Patricia Yvonne McCulley in Vernon on Feb. 14, 1965; she survives. He was a retired machinist for Zurn Pex and a member of Second Baptist Church in Vernon.
Other survivors include two daughters, Pamela Emmons and Melissa Woods and husband Danny, all of Cumby; brother Jerry Emmons of Greenville; a sister, Mary Pollan of Amarillo; and grandchildren Quintin Kent and Dezirae Rodriguez.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a granddaughter, Brittany Kent; two sisters, Ruby Pollan and Alice Long; and two brothers, Brady Don Emmons and Willie Wayne Emmons.
