GREENVILLE —
Funeral services for Esta Lee Morgan, 92, of Livingston, formerly of Sulphur Springs, are at 2 p.m. today at First Baptist Church in Spence Chapel in Sulphur Springs with Rev. Fred Lewis and Charlotte McDowell officiating. Interment follows at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Wolfe City with James Bruner, Herb Bruner, Bob Goodman, Clyde Key, Woodrow Bishop, Jess Bishop and Ralph Pickrell serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be David Stinson and Jerry Brewer.
Visitation begins at 12:30 p.m. today at the chapel.
Esta Lee Morgan passed away at The Bradford at Brookside in Livingston.
She was born in Celeste on Dec. 14, 1919, daughter of Joseph Robert Lee and Elizabeth Abbigale (Byrd) Bishop. She married Rev. L.B. Morgan in Wolfe City on Aug. 15, 1943. He preceded her in death in 1997. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Elaine Haney and husband Jerry, of Coldspring; a son, Dr. Michael Morgan and wife Dr. Terry Morgan, of Homewood, Ala.; grandchildren Kristen Haney Jernigan and Jerry and Tiffany Haney Barton and Ryan; and great-grandchildren Tim and Erin Jernigan and Rebecca and Nathan Barton.
She was also preceded in death by three sisters and six brothers.
Memorials may be made to Mission Dignity of Guidestone Services of the Southern Baptist Convention, 2401 Cedar Springs Road, Dallas, Texas 75201.
Arrangements are under the direction of Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home of Sulphur Springs.
