FARMERSVILLE —
Theodore (Ted) Edward Moss of Farmersville passed away Aug. 7, 2012, at his residence.
He was born Dec. 11, 1934, in Dallas, the son of Arley Addison and Nell Ruth Lipscomb Moss. He married Joan Combest Aug. 25, 1956, in Farmersville.
He, along with his sons, founded Moss Construction Company in 1985, while the vigilant love of his daughter, Robin, remained his greatest joy as she never left his side; he retired in 2000.
He was a member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church in Farmersville.
He is survived by his wife, Joan of Farmersville; his children, Robin Jacobson and husband Ron, Mark Moss and wife Alisha, and Brad Moss, all of Farmersville, and Hal Moss and wife Irene of Allen; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; his siblings; Juanell Benton of Wylie, Jeannie Spain of Plano, Donna Van Winkle and husband Lester of Richmond, Va., and Addison Moss of Parker.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Lou Ann Sagely; a brother, John Milton Moss; and a grandson, Eddie Ivy.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Cornerstone Baptist Church in Lucas with Rev. Jim Everage and Rev. Billy Joe Harris officiating. Interment will be in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Farmersville.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Hurst’s Fielder Baker Funeral Home in Farmersville.
In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to the Farmersville Ex-Student Association Fund, P.O. Box 898, Farmersville, 75442.
